In the Inspiration section of the Library (yellow spine labels) we are pleased to have three books by Philip Yancey. “The Bible that Jesus Read” makes the Hebrew Scriptures relevant to the teachings of Jesus. Yancey writes that the more we comprehend the Old Testament, the more we comprehend Jesus. “Where is God When it Hurts” is a unique book that discusses pain and helps us understand why we suffer and how we can cope. “What’s So Amazing About Grace” is a collection of stories that illustrate what Yancey means by “grace” and is interspersed with some political commentary and light Scripture explanations. Checkout procedures can be found in the catalog notebook.
