The Reverend David Lord came to Bethlehem in 2007, having previously served churches in the Staunton, Harrisonburg, Richmond and Charlottesville, VA Districts. He attended Young Harris College, Asbury College, Asbury Theological Seminary and was ordained by the United Methodist Church in 1985.
Pastor Lord has served on the Conference Board of Church and Society, and the Conference Board of Global Ministry, was the Conference UMVIM Coordinator for the Caribbean area and has led numerous Volunteer in Mission Teams.
He has a love for missions and taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who may never attend a church service. “We are called out to be Christ in a hurting world, . . We have the opportunity and challenged to reach people for Christ and help them experience God’s love.”
David and his wife, Cheryl, grew up together in Tifton, Georgia and have a son, Mitch, who lives in Montana. Cheryl is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville and worked for over 20 years as a Speech/Language therapist.
