Thank you, Kathleen
I first met Kathleen Nettnin one year ago when she interviewed for our position of Director of Children, Youth, and Family ministries. Not long into the interview, I knew she was the person
we wanted to hire. Kathleen is an amazing young woman with extraordinary and varied gifts that she uses to communicate the love of God.
Recently, with many tears, she told me she had accepted a full time position at Unbridled Change which would give her the opportunity to use her training in Equine Psychotherapy to bring help to people with mental health issues. This has been her dream to use her love for horses and her love for people to facilitate healing. I was sad to hear the news but glad that she has this chance to pursue her dream.
We at BUMC thank Kathleen for her year of ministry with us. She has shown God’s love to all of us, especially our youth and children. She has shared her love for the outdoors, leading hikes and outdoor adventures. She has led Bible studies, Youth Alpha, Tuesday morning prayer services, Sunday School and Wonderful Wednesday classes. She began and led the CORE, our new Sunday worship service for older children. In addition, she has been on and led two mission trips and kept the children and youth involved in outreach. Kathleen has done a tremendous job, and we have
been blessed to have her with us. She is a truly gifted woman.
On Sunday, August 6, we will celebrate Kathleen’s ministry during the worship services and with a reception following worship. Also, we are not saying goodbye to Kathleen completely. Kathleen will continue to work on a volunteer basis as a member of Bethlehem; so we will see her around doing some of the things she has been doing. For that we are grateful. So, thank you Kathleen. We will pray God’s blessings upon you as you begin this new chapter in your life.
